For 2007, the Volvo S60 receives some minor changes. There is a new grille, with a larger Volvo emblem, a redesigned front spoiler, and with the optional Sport Package, a new trunk lid spoiler. The exterior mirrors now have integrated turn signals, and there’s a lane change function, with three flashes. Inside, there is a new optional Grid Aluminum metal décor scheme, and new aluminum highlights on the column stalk, air intake controls and steering wheel. The optional Sport Package includes a new shifter knob and watch-style instrument panel similar to the S60 R and S80. A rearview mirror with integrated compass is standard on the T5 and R, and is included in the optional Convenience Package on other models.

The standard suspension has been retuned, with firmer shock absorbers and springs and upgraded anti-roll bars and solid bushings. Volvo Dynamic Stability and Traction Control System is standard equipment on the 2.5T AWD and T5. The Sport Package available on those models also includes active bi-Xenon headlamps, which follow the curve of the road when the front wheels are turned.

Finally, there is a new Maple Red exterior colour, and new sport leather seating with two contrasting shades and contrasting stitching.
The S60 is available as the 2.5T and 2.5T AWD with 2.5-litre turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine; as the T5, with 2.4-litre turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine; and as the R, with a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine that makes 300 hp.
The 2.5T uses a five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, and includes four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and electronic brake force distribution, 16-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, rear fog lamp, headlight washers, heated cloth seats, mechanical driver’s seat height adjuster, fold-flat front passenger seat, 60/40 folding rear seat, cruise control, dual-zone electronic climate control, tilt and telescopic wheel, and CD stereo.
