The Jaguar XK has won the Canadian Black Book‘s “Best Retained Value Award” in the Premium Sports Car segment.
The Canadian Black Book Awards honour the 2007 model-year vehicles in each category that have retained the highest percentage of their original manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) over the past four years.
“We are thrilled to achieve this accolade from the Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards,” said Lindsay Duffield, president, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, in a statement. “Jaguars are distinguished by their style and performance, and of course, value and it is an honour to have the XK stand out in these awards.”
The Canadian Black Book “Best Retained Value Awards” were introduced in 2006. Retained value is a strong indicator for how a vehicle may perform in the future. For consumers, selecting a vehicle with a high retained value (lower depreciation rate) will reduce their overall cost-of-ownership.

This has got to be a joke. Everyone knows used Jags are garbage and depreciation is horrid. There has got to some tricky accounting in this award of Jag (aka Tata motors of India) has paid off the Canadian Black Book people.
