The Massimo MSA 550 is powered by a 493cc four-stroke, single-cylinder SOHC, liquid-cooled engine delivering approximately 32–33 HP. It uses electronic fuel injection (EFI) for reliable starting, smooth acceleration, and fuel efficiency  

The ATV has an automatic CVT transmission with High/Low/Neutral/Reverse (H-L-N-R) gears, and a shaft-driven 2WD/4WD system with a locking differential, providing strong traction on varied terrains
