The 2022 MINI Cooper Convertible John Cooper Works (JCW) is the high-performance peak of the MINI open-top lineup, featuring a significant styling refresh for the 2022 model year.

Engine: 2.0L TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder producing 228 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission: 8-speed Sport Automatic with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters (Note: A manual transmission was not offered for the 2022 convertible JCW).
Brakes: Upgraded 4-piston Brembo front brakes with ventilated discs.
Exhaust: JCW-specific sport exhaust system with center-mounted dual tips.
Differential: Electronically locking front differential (EDLC). 

Exterior Styling
JCW Aerodynamic Kit: Includes a unique front bumper with larger air intakes and a sporty rear diffuser.
Wheels: Standard 17-inch JCW Track Spoke Black alloy wheels with run-flat tires.
Lighting: Newly standard LED headlights with cornering lights and LED taillights featuring the Union Jack pattern.
Convertible Top: Electrically powered "3-in-1" soft top that includes a partial-open sunroof mode. 

Interior & Technology
Displays: A new 8.8-inch central touchscreen and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster are now standard.
Seats: Performance JCW Sport seats upholstered in a Carbon Black Dinamica/cloth combination.
Steering Wheel: Nappa leather-wrapped JCW sport steering wheel with audio controls.
Entertainment: 6-speaker audio system with Bluetooth and SiriusXM satellite radio. (Note: Apple CarPlay was typically not standard on the base "Classic" sub-trim for 2022). 

Safety & Driver Assistance
Active Driving Assistant: Includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.
Parking Aids: Standard rear-view camera and rear park distance control.
Rollover Protection: A hidden, active rollover protection bar system that automatically deploys if a rollover is detected.
